REVIEW! YSL Volupte Tint-In-Oil

YSL recently released a new lip product that was basically designed for me! The Volupte Tint-In-Oil is a sheer oil based lip gloss. It’s a blend of different oils to really nourish and moisturize your lips. This has a blend of apricot oil, coriander fruit oil, jojoba oil, and possiflora edulis oil.

The applicator is really unique. It’s a funny shaped, bent, doe-foot applicator that really meshes well with your lips and gets into every little nook and cranny!

I have the shade No. 6 Peach Me Love. It’s a beautiful peachy pink shade that just shouts spring!

When I first tried this out in Sephora I had really high hopes! I swatched it on my hand and was kind of like… wamp wamp. 😦 It was super sheer and a little on the sticky side. I decided to try it on my lips and it was still pretty sheer, but not really sticky at all! After I walked around for about 5 minutes I noticed the color was what I like to call a sheer vibrant shade! It took a minute to oxidize but it was a fairly bright, sheer peachy pink! It’s super hydrating and last a good amount of time on the lips!

It’s really comfortable to wear and leaves a really glossy finish.

This is a pretty pricey product, but what else would you expect from YSL?! I bought mine at Sephora for $32.

I highly recommend this product if you prefer lip balms and more nourishing lip products! I can tell this is going to be a major staple for me in spring and summer!

Pregnancy: The Worst of the Worst! (So Far!)

As of right now I am 24 weeks pregnant with a baby the size of an ear of corn shoved into my uterus! While it’s the most surreal, awesome experience I’ve even been through, it comes with a price!

My first trimester was pretty tough! I was sick all the time, all I wanted to do was sleep, and I was so moody I was annoying myself. I had high hopes for my second trimester! I haven’t been sick much, my appetite came back, and I perked up a whole lot! But I also started to notice a lot of embarrassing things that I have just have to deal with!

Sleep. 

Sleep sucks now. I wake up about every 2-3 hours to go pee which makes waking up in the morning extra difficult! I have always slept on my back, and now I suddenly cannot sleep on my back! I invested in a Snoogle and pregnancy wedge pretty early and I CANNOT sleep without them! But having to get up from the cocoon I’ve created to go pee really ruins it for me.

The Gas. 

The gas is super annoying. It’s an all day battle for me. I’m to the point where now I don’t really care and I’m tired of hiding it all the time or running away! I just let my freak flag fly when it comes to gas! Gas confuses me a little though, because I’m so constipated 90% of the time I don’t know if that’s what’s causing my gas or if it’s just my bun in the oven! Anyways, any pregnant person who tells you they don’t have gas or constipation is LYING! Husbands, boyfriends, and baby daddy’s, just pretend you didn’t hear it.

Sudden back fat?

Yes. Your back even gets fat when you’re pregnant and it’s super annoying! Apparently your back grows with your belly to help support it, but I would really like that to stop now!

The Back Pain.

The back pain is so terrible, I feel like I’m slowly being run over sometimes! Once the back pain starts, it won’t stop! So just lay down and suffer through! If your doctor says it’s okay, take a Tylenol if it’s getting really bad!

Sneezing/Laughing.

When I feel a sneeze coming on, I know i’m about to pee. I’m really considering wearing an adult diaper until I have the little guy. The other day I sneezed so hard I scared my baby, he kicked my bladder so hard I peed my pants! Laughing is awful to! I always laugh so hard that I pee my pants a little. It makes watching SNL really difficult now!

Boobs.

This is usually most peoples favorite part of pregnancy but not when you have huge boobies to begin with. I was a full DD before I got pregnant and 24 weeks in, I’m a full DDD! And they’re only getting bigger…. 😦 It also doesn’t help with the back pain that they’re getting bigger and bigger everyday! My boobs are getting giant… #whitepeopleprobs

Sono Pictures.

I was so excited to get my first sono I thought I was going to lose it! But when my pictures got printed, I really thought something was wrong with me, because I didn’t see a cute little baby. All I saw was this weird grayish blob that may or may not be in the form of a really small baby! My second sono I was pumped! My baby was bigger, I was going to be able to really see all his features and he was actually going to look like a human. Not the case. One of my sono pictures looks like there’s an ostrich inside me. Another looks like my baby is possessed by the devil and like he’s trying to chew his way out. Ultimate fail for me.

Other People’s Opinions. 

Look person behind me in Starbucks, I’m getting a half decaf, half regular latte I don’t need you to tell me “pregnant people aren’t suppose to drink caffeine.” I know you’re not suppose to drink a ton of caffeine during pregnancy, but 100-200 milligrams isn’t going to do much damage to me. If one more person asks me “can you eat that?” or “should you be eating that?” will get a swift kick to the groin by me.

One thing I’ve really learned is that everyone is different! No two bodies are exactly the same! If your doctor says your healthy, don’t be so hard on yourself when you see someone who was 100 pounds before they got pregnant, only gained 15 pounds their entire pregnancy. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! Yeah, you don’t want to gain a ton of weight, but don’t starve yourself because you’re insecure. You’re going to gain weight. You’re going to swell. Your wedding ring isn’t going to fit after a while. and yes, you probably will take a huge dump when you’re having your baby. BUT WHO CARES! This is your time! Yeah, all this stuff really sucks! Your body going through a major change really sucks, feeling like a 100 year old woman because you’re constantly peeing your pants and farting really sucks! But that’s what makes pregnancy so fun! It’s funny to laugh at yourself when you pee a little, it’s the only time someone won’t judge you for doing it… Remember that!

When it comes to diet during pregnancy, my only advice is don’t go to cray on the sugar. You don’t want to put yourself at risk for gestational diabetes. Also, try to eat some veggies during the day! It’ll help your sanity. Also, take a walk.

Don’t blame yourself for things that are out of your control! The biggest thing I’ve struggled with so far is weight gain. I seriously think about it all day long. I feel like I should constantly be moving around and doing workouts by my desk. I blamed myself for gaining weight and constantly think everyone thinks I’m just a short little fat girl. I really have to think about not calling myself fat, not getting so down on myself, and quit crying about it all the dang time!

Just remember pregnancy is a beautiful thing and it’s a ton of fun! Think of all the cute clothes you get to buy for yourself and baby! 🙂
